Arrow Ahhhhhh!!!!

I'm going to Juvie for 2 weeks atleast (for truancy aka not going to school) I've been there before but only for 3 days. How am I ever going to manage to survive without my cigarettes!

And officially 3 of my friends are in treatment right now.... EVEN *JOHN*. He's going to NA meetings and has told me he has been sober. My other two girlfriends are still in rehab, and my best friend (practicly my sis) is going to rehab soon too!

I'll miss you guys. Be back later!

I'm a long-time smoker, 46 years of age. I know it's easy for me to say but perhaps you should look at this as an opportunity to quit the habit for good. It may be tough for the first week or so but after two weeks, the cravings or worst of it should be over. By the sounds of it, you've got no choice but to quit for two week anyways.

I sure wish that I had quit when I was your age. Like most smokers, I didn't appreciate what I was getting myself into when I started way back when. Now I'm wondering what damage I may have caused but at the same time don't want to know either. Not to mention that the money I spent on smokes over the years has probably added up to the equivalent of a house!

Sorry if I'm sounding like one of those "when-I-was-your-age" old farts but I do have the "benefit" of 25-30 years of smoking-hindsight over you. Virtually all "veteran" smokers will tell you the same thing.

Hey - I wish you the best of luck !!

Well I'm back. I got a week off suspended....

I feel pathetic sitting here typing while smoking a cigarette though. For the first few hours I got out and had my first cigarette I thought I wasn't addicted anymore. But when I got home... low and behold, I still am....

I agree with 223. I smoked in high school a couple years, then quit for a couple, then couldn't put 'em down for ten years straight. The longer you smoke, the harder it can be to quit. Glad you got 1 week off. Juvie sux.
