of the American Red Cross... Salary for year ending
06/30/03 was $651,957 plus expenses.

Brian Gallagher, President of the United Way
receives a $375,000 base salary, plus numerous
expense benefits.

The Salvation Army's Commissioner Todd Bassett
receives a salary of ONLY $13,000 per year (plus
housing) for managing this $2 billion dollar organization.

So, which organization do you feel is the most deserving?? I know which one I'll contribute to in the future!

I am glad you posted this,

I did know this - but its nice to see someone else actually does have some research* before randomly sending money.

I have more to say but its political, so I will refrain from doing so.

I'm a Californian!!

*Or at least once coming across the info taking the time for the 411.

I'm really glad you posted this. I've know about this for a while, but never thought to post it.

The Salvation Army also does a lot to help addicts and alcoholics. My parents donated their last car that they got rid of to them. Proceeds went to their rehab facility.
