Love it! Thanks, Midas. I am a *huge* fan of trees... I love them dearly. I recently found out that Juglans cinerea (aka butternut or white walnut) is in danger of going extinct, and it made me feel terribly sad. Oaks and maples are having a hard time here in the NE as well. It's a little disheartening at times. However... I'm enjoying the trees that are still around and looking good. Thanks again for sharing.

Welcome!! While I was conducting some research about the ''The One Tree'' and The Tree of Life, in the middle of the night, I sort of drifted. Then the nursery (pun intended) rhyme suddenly came to me. That rhyme is probably the world's most ad-libbed prose in recent history. Funny though, how little snippets of my childhood are surfacing. I remembered singing along to ''The Grass Grows All Around'' in what grade...kindergarten?? LoL!!! Glad you enjoyed it. I did! Hey...I got a crazy idea to record a real reading of it, but it's hard to lead solo and do the echo part at the same time. I love walnut trees, too. It's a shame the white walnut is nearly extinct due to the fungal blight. Notable trivia: When I was living in CA., I raised 12 Eucalyptus trees from seeds. Most of them were E. citriodora [lemon-scented bark], several were E. cornuta [horn-shaped foliage], and a couple were E. leucoxylon [white ironbark]. |
