Full Moon

Something I thought was interesting occured to me tonight on my way home from work. I stopped at the grocery store on my way home to pick up a couple things. There is a liquor store in the same strip mall as the grocery store. As I was driving by I noticed a man pulling on the front door and yelling, Apparently the store had just closed and he had missed out. The man turned away and slapped himself on the forehead and all I could think was..Im sure glad Im not that guy. I had a sudden overwhelming feeling of peace and gratitude. As I steped out of the car I immediately noticed one of the brightest fullest moons I think I may have ever seen. And I thought to myself WOW look at how beautiful this is how many times have I really payed attention and apprecaited a full moon in my life. I figured it out after I got home and shared this with some other people. There have been 372 full moons in my lifetime and I can't honestly remember a single one specifically before tonight. This one will stick with me and it's something I will pay more attention to. Thanks for letting me share, I think I will go and check it out one more time before I go to bed tonight.

Re: Full Moon

Glad you got a glimps too TED, awsome wasn't it! There was a time not too long ago in my life where i would have just been paranoid of it, would have thought there were people up there watching me lol (anyone ever see the movie "Truman show"). I took that second look for all of us dan, and had a personal moment of silence for those that can't see it clearly now. yeah chy, It's really great to be sober!! Thanks guys for showing me the way...AMEN

Re: Full Moon

So cool that we are all living in different parts of the country, but still shared that same moon. It was so bright, I had to close the window! I agree with you about just how clear everything is sober. I wouldn't trade it for the world. Even the clairty of the stress and pain....

Re: Full Moon

That's cool, last night my husband was looking out the window and said "honey, come here and look at this moon" me, him, and my youngest son sat there looking up out of the window at it. Didn't occur to me that someone else might be seeing it to.

So, last night, I was looking out at the moon. I told my hubby to come look at it, and to hold my hand. He says, "What, you looking for something to put in you're gratitude list?" LOL I swear!

I did think of all of you looking up at it too!!
Love,
Missy

The Moon

I did not see this one because I was in my office on this site..lol. However, when I was on the ship somewhere in the ocean one night, I walked out on the fantail and there was a full moon. It looked so close that you could just reach out and touch it. It was the only light out there and just amazing. It was such a moment of peace and clarity..until the next port that is when I would be too hungover to get out of my rack.
Thank you for that moment of silence..it could have been me and I thank god it wasnt.
Love,
Roy
