| And the Oscar goes to... Anyone doing the red carpet watching thing tonight? This is a good site for all the info and to cast your own vote: 2009 Academy Awards on MSN Movies How do you feel about Mickey Rourke as best actor nominee? Sympathy vote? And, Heath Ledger as best supporting actor nominee? Sentimental favorite?

I don't have cable so I won't be watching the Oscars, but I will follow up online tomorrow, as I am interested in who wins for Best Picture. I absolutely loved Mickey Rourke in The Wrestler, I thought he was sincere and believable. I'm not sure who Best Picture should go to, I'm seen Slumdog and Benjamin Button, as well as Doubt. All were very very good. And I remember how struck I was seeing Heath as The Joker. It would be nice to see him win posthumously.

| I haven't seen any of the latest movies, so I can't really judge; but, I'm glad one of your faves won. I thought it was pretty ho-hum, except for the former winners doing the presentations.

THE JOKER ROLE WAS EXCELLANT . SLUM DOG MILLIONAIRE DOESN'T LOOk INTERESTING TO ME. A friend saw Curious case of Benajamin Button and hated it. Always seems, the movies I really like aren't in the oscars

I haven't seen most of the movies that were nominated this year (I NEVER get to see movies in the theater anymore). DID manage to see Dark Knight But now let's get to what really matters... Who do you think looked better: Jennifer Aniston or Angelina Jolie?!?! I'm going with Jennifer - she's my fave. And I had no idea Hugh Jackman could sing!! Go, Wolverine!

Hugh Jackman has starred in a couple of Broadway shows. Actually, you'd be surprised how many actors/actresses have great singing voices. Do you remember Jerry Orbach (recently deceased) from tv's Law and Order? He started out as a song and dance man and starred in several broadway shows over the years.

I loved Jerry Orbach, Law and Order isn't the same without him.

I've been told that Frank Langella was a stage actor first, too. Now HE'S one I can't imagine singing and dancing!!

| Langella has always been a serious actor...a bit of trivia: he and Whoopie Goldberg were "involved" for a while...bit of an odd couple, I always thought.

Interesting... IMDB's biography of him says, "he has done occasional films but prefers to concentrate pn his first love, the legitimate theatre." Occasional films? He's got 77 movies and tv roles in his filmography list!
