Talking Left Overs!

I don't know if I like the Thanksgiving dinner itself,
Or the left overs better!

Today, I made -- all from the left overs:

Two lunch servings of turkey dinners for school; they're in the freezer for later,
Turkey soup,
Turkey pot pie,
Shrimp/cream cheese dip for tonight with a movie,
Shrimp quasidellas,
Potato pancakes,
And had a Pilgrim sandwich for lunch!

I won't have to cook for a week!
And I'll be freezing a LOT!!!

Thanksgiving just keeps on GIVING!
Just more to be grateful for, yes?

What do you do with your leftovers?

L'Chaim!

Even after just my son, John, and I were the only ones at home, we would still make the same amount of food as for six - eight people...I never could learn to cook for just a couple.

The day after TD, we would sit at the kitchen table with all the left overs and divide the food into freezer dishes. We'd have enough meals for the next week. Once the meat was off the bird, I'd make a big pot of soup...I would also freeze some in containers. There was always enough meat for both hot and cold sandwiches, turkey hash, pot pies. A twenty-pounder is a lot for two people!

Waste not, want not.

Turkey fajitas?? Thats interesting....Sounds good.

Lets see..we will probably end up having scalloped taters with some of the ham too.

All the leftovers are at my aunts house. My grams made the ham and stuffing. Or we wouldnt have had any leftovers.
