The liver transplant is in progress as I type. Dad (Jason) turned out to be a perfect match for Morgan. Doctor's have removed a portion of Jason's liver and Morgan is now being prepped. I will keep you updated.

I am so scared for them right now. I know this is a good thing. If Morgan had to wait for a cadaver donor, she would have to be VERY sick and recovery would be MUCH harder. So I KNOW this is good, but I'm just a wreck!

I know you're scared, but babies are remarkably tough and often do really well with surgeries. Turn it over to HP and keep us posted.

Well, dad is recovering and baby is in surgery. All is going smoothly. I have not found my HP yet-but I believe they are in good hands!

Morgan's new liver is functioning normally, blood is flowing through like it should and everything is looking healthy! The surgery took I believe it was 5 hours for dad, 8 hours for Morgan. Amazing that ONE Doctor did both surgery's!!

Morgan's body is rejecting the liver. They tried to take her off the ventilator but she stopped breathing so they kept her on it.

I am very sad and scared, yet I am grateful that myself and my children are healthy-which makes me feel selfish....

that doesnt make you selfish.we all are grateful for the health of our loved ones .sorry to hear she's not doing well but thats not in your hands .im praying 4 her too.lets leave it 2 the higher power .we dont have all the answers here on earth.we may never know all the reasons.we're human.as long as we do all we can do its not our faults. i hope you find some peace in this .i know it's hard. Well, I just found out that her (Morgan) not breathing is mainly due to the pain meds. They will take her off of the meds so she will wake up, then try removing the vent. again.

Her liver is still working properly.

awwww, she's such a sweetie!!!

I had the same color hair when I was a baby...we redheads are stubborn, but it can be a good thing because we tend to think of "bad stuff" as a challenge.

I'm so glad she's doing well, and will continue to keep you all in my prayers!
