racko8's photos and albums on webshots

Something I love, think everyone has some kind of creative bug, you just have to figure out how to express it.

crap it's blocked on the work computer, john.

both my folks were shutterfreaks ... we even had a 3-d camera.

I don't understand all the new digital stuff... but hand me a brownie or a really old kodak or polaroid oldtimer and I know what to do with it.

I just draw, but never caught the bug like they did.

I'm into ansel adams, myself. Far as style and prints go.

I love the drama of his better pieces, ya know?

I have a framed copy of "Moon and Half Dome, Yosemite National Park" on my bedroom wall, very fond of it. Bought about 20 years ago. My Dad's brother was the shutterbug, he just seemed to have that eye, I have a picture he took in Switzerland of a village street in one of the albums. My son can draw, pains me that he never attempted to develop that talent, even though I tried to encourage him on many occasions.

BTW, the digital is a digital slr, just like the old slr's but digital. The thing I love, if you goof you know right away, and you can snap countless pics without worrying about the cost of film or development.

I love all the pictures of the boats and the water!

I like Ansel Adams, too. I had a cousin that was a professional photographer (we lost touch years ago) and he had some awesome black/white pictures, too. I couldn't figure out why he would WANT to do black and white, but he showed me how a picture of a forest/mountains had more depth in black and white.

I have an inexpensive digital camera, and keep it with me all the time. You never know when a photo opportunity will come up!
