Signatures

my signature here at SR is the same as the signature on my work email. someone who works in administration sent me an email asking me about it, what it meant to me. it got me thinking... what does it mean in my life?

for me, embracing impermanence is a cornerstone of spirituality. it's just the same as "this too shall pass", and i love knowing that everything in my life is completely transient. all the people, places, things, feelings - the whole 9. it helps me a lot, especially when i'm really stuck in fear and self-pity. i have to remember that putting so much stock in those feelings is insane; it is the "delusion os a madman."

so that's my two cents. tell me about your signatures... if ya want.

My signature is what someone told me when I took my 1 year cake in 2004. I've never seen that man again, one of God's angels I think because it is so very appropriate for this gutterdrunk.

"One should count each day a separate life."

Basically one day at a time.

I change my sig a lot tho, usually something buddhist.

I am liking 'What fresh hell is this' lately too, it's how Dorothy Parker used to answer the telephone, apparently. LOL.

Mine's pretty self explanatory..I find my HP in love. Raised a Christian, I believe in what Jesus taught.

Love.

It's pretty darn hard to be negative when you're trying to show love to whomever crosses your path!

My sig comes from a paintball forum that I frequent sometimes, to me it speaks about my attitude on life.

It also reminds me of a scene from one of my favorite movies, Lonesome Dove, where Robert Duvall's character is dying and he says to Tommy Lee Jones something like "By God Woodrow, it's been quite a ride, ain't it?".

Life has been quite a ride for me, and it just keeps getting better.

Emimily....thanks for this interesting Topic!

Line 1 is to remind me to be kind.
Line 2 is to give hope to others.
