Here's a quick and easy sauce for meatballs or chicken: Equal parts chili sauce and jelly or jam...yep that's it. I sometimes add a bag of frozen diced onion. Add to meatballs and bake, microwave or use a crock pot. I use grape jelly- but the options are endless. The next one I'm going to try is with orange marmalade over chicken. Does anybody have a good recipe for guacamole?

okay, I wait greedily for my summer squash to come in for this: Make your favorite cornbread recipe (the unsweetened kind). Take a few yellow summer squash and slice them. Dip them in the batter and fry them in hot oil until they're nice and brown and crispy. Salt and Pepper. Yummy. This also works for zucchini, green tomatoes and okra. _________________ Trish |

Ok this is a recipe for salad that is good to make when pomegranates are in season (like now). It makes a good holiday salad because it is colorful. I have served this to lots of people and everyone always asks for the recipe. Dressing: ¼ Cup oil 2 Tablespoons red wine vinegar 2 Tablespoons sugar ¼ Teaspoon salt ¼ Teaspoon black pepper 1 Tablespoon parsley 6 Drops Tabasco Basic Salad: Use mixed greens-the "mesclun" kind with greens like radicchio, arugula, and spinach. Red onion Slivered almonds (or walnuts) Pomegranate seeds Fruit of your choice Optional ingredients: Strawberries Oranges Kiwi Grapefruit Avocado Any citrus fruit Mix everything together and serve.
