| Vertigo answer
Hi all, I wasn't sure where to put this, so I'll just put it here. This, well to me, is interesting. While I was in Florida, my mother came down with Vertigo. Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, or BPPV, as it's known in the medical field. She had episodes where she couldn't roll over in bed, because she felt like she was going to pass out. And she had those symptoms during the day, occasionally. Here's the best part, I met someone in Florida who had the same thing, years ago, and her Dr. sent her to a Physical Therapist. I thought she was goofy, how could physical therapy fix an inner ear problem? But, she said the P.therapist did some rotations of her head, and the symptoms completely disappeared. So, I figured, what the heck..and called a few places and asked if they did this procedure, which I researched, called an "Epley Procedure" Well, I found a place, and took my mom last Friday, and guess what? GONE! She is symptom free! I just wanted to pass this around to get the word out, because obviously alot of Drs. do not know this even exists! So, just to let you know, an F.Y.I. Hugs,

Moose, Is that the procedure used to reposition crystals within the inner ear? My ENT said if I have an episode during office hours he has a procedure to correct things. He told me that he would then show me how to do it for myself if it happens again. It would be alot better than taking the meds for vertigo. I'm so glad it worked for your mom. Thanks for sharing about this. Maybe I could just try this next time.... ![]() And....maybe I should stop doing this.... Whaddya think? cmc

Actually it was like some sort of miracle, I swear. (just wish I would have been home sooner, so she wouldn't have had to suffer for so long) Yep, Epley procedure. It would be kind of difficult to do at home. Only for the reson that you have to KNOW where the cystals are out of line...like which ear, and where they are. Then it's like making a marble go through a maze, you have to know which way to shift the head. One office visit...cured! Amazing.
