Uses for duct tape

Like to see how many uses people have come up with for duct tape.

Here is some of the ways I use it:

1. For grinding small objects like semi-precious stones for jewelry wrap some around your finger sticky side out nice and tight then stick the object on where you can hold it to the grinder with your finger.

2. I keep many different colors of it for patching raingear etc.

3. To protect fine surfaces while grinding or sanding them (such as knife blades).

4. When the battery cover to remotes etc. get lost just cut to size and cover battery compartment.

OK, I promise I don't think it's funny, but there was this day care center in my area of the country that got shut down because they duct taped some of their more "unruly" kids to their chairs.

I just read that NASA has implemented a plan for unstable astronauts (thanks to Lisa Nowak) to use duck tape to restrain them when they get unstable in space.

Here's a helpful hint duct tape one. If your cats are scratching the furniture put it on the spot. They HATE it!

I roll it up on back hand sticky side out and pick up fuzz off of my clothes, cat hair off furniture etc.

I also use it as a patch for any waterbed holes we get. Works good.

Wink

I wrap it around my head when I'm about to explode. That way I have all the pieces when I put myself back together.

Put it on a bottom surface to keep it from scratching and sliding around.

I use "helping hands" (device for holding things having a base, magnifying glass, alligator clips) on top of my monitor to hold documents for typing and shortcuts for hot-keys. The duct tape gives the bottom a semi-no-slip surface and prevents scratching. The draw back is it fell once and now I have a screw for a F7 key.

lmao! twinkle stars i do the same here. some how i always forget my remote is on my lap. so when i get up damn thing falls hard on the floor so needless to say i use it to keep the back on my remote. another good use when those fav pair of flip flops finally give out. a piece of tape works wonders. although it isnt very attractive. it works! may be the red neck in me haha.
