Talking M*a*s*h

Anyone else enjoying the M*A*S*H marathon on TV Land?
I've gotta say, I'm really enjoying watching these old reruns! They are still as funny and salient today as it was twenty years ago.

Shalom!

I'm finding that the only TV worth watching are reruns of the "good" shows they used to make. That and old movies. What's with the new shows? If you don't want to watch people eat bugs or pretty, brainless chicks compete for the egotistical "it's a good thing he's got money" bachelor, you're really out of luck most days. I like to laugh. Has anyone made anything funny in the past 5 years?

I pay more than I ever paid for cable, to get a variety of channels (did anyone else ever notice how they "bundle" their packages so that you have to take 6 of them to get the only 6 shows you ever watch?).

Truthfully, it's probably good for me. It means that I watch far less TV than I used to and have actually taken up reading books again.

Now...if I could only give up my computer time, I could have a regular readathon.

Hey Teach... I love those M*A*S*H reruns too! What I did see of the marathon was good, especially hearing the stories about the cast and things that happened while making the show.

Why did I know that thwack was coming?

Yea, the show's inside scoop was good too. But,did I ever LAUGH so hard watching the shows again! LOL!

I think Scrubs is pretty good, unemployable, but, really don't care too much for the others. King of Queens is ok.
Of course, this is only my opinion.
And we KNOW what is said about opinions, right? LOL!

A walk down memory lane is always a good walk.

Shalom!

I think the funniest show I ever saw was The Andy Griffith Show when Barney (who can't sing a note) sang in the choir. All I ever had to do was look at Don Knotts and I'd laugh.

And the Mary Tyler Moore show when Chuckles the Clown died when he was dressed like a peanut and an elephant stepped on him and Mary got the giggles at his funeral.

Okay, maybe ya had to be there.

OMG!!!!! Chuckles the Clown episode was the FUNNIEST thing on the air!

My oldest brother can recite lines from those old shows still. It amazes me, his memory! He says because it had an emotional impact he can rmember them. Me, I have a bad case of CRS!

I love watching nick at night. It has lots of the old shows, including Andy Griffith, Ann! That's my usual night time fare.
Yea, how exciting is my life,

Shalom!
