Scary 15 mins!

At like 18:30 my stepmom calls: 'yeah a letter from Essent (power company) addressed to you arrived at this address, ya want me to pass it thru or open it and read it?' Me 'sure open it, prolly put in this as corrospondence address and didn't change it or something.' She started reading and soon it got all panicky and all 'you gotta pay 4080 Euro per month!' Me 'eh what? and this is for gas and electricity?' She: 'no no gas only, I dun get it either'. I said it should surely be split over 12 months then and my dad interfered and said even split over 12 months it was still way too much, he said even he paid less than that and my parents' place is bigger and they live there with two. I started to freak out a lil but not too much cuz I was thinking 'virtually anyone can post letters to me demanding me to pay insane amounts of money, doesn't mean I will obey them' and also I simply dun have 4000 bucks in my bank account and there's a pretty decent limit to how much in the negative side of the money spectrum my balance can go so the bank would simply refuse to withdraw the money from my account. I calmed stepmom down and since she got the letter in front of her and a # you can call if you got any further questions we decided she better calls now and then call me back.

18:45: she calls back, relieved, that it was all one big mistake and it's just some 'heritage' the previous tenant left. He never paid any bill. The lady on the phone was really nice tho and said she'd change all the numbers on the bill immediately and she re-calculated the whole thing, turns out I gotta pay 120 Euro per month, not bad, really. Power company lady also said the bank would refuse to withdraw it from my account. So I'm all relieved, stepmom too, even tho funny thing is: I didn't panic all that much. In the past I woulda been on the verge of puking. I learned, it seems, lol.
