...Just Say "I Love You".

We shared so much,
we were almost like twins,
all our friends called us 'bookends'
we wore the same colors all the time
it was uncanny our fashionable rhyme,

I wish I knew

all the right things to say

to bring your love back to me,

but we've already let go

I was always so foolish for you,
and now I'm at odds with myself.
My God, we're so much alike...we're like peas in a pod
but the similarities were too great
the rift of differences paled in comparison
'tis our sameness now that separates!

You and I are oceans apart,
obvious similitude yet so very different...

This paradox will forever baffle and confound me,

veritable and eclipsing conundrums as well to be,

Don't say goodbye,
Just say "I Love You."
