| Dear Higher Power
Help us to remember our family and friends, as well as all of the sick suffering alcoholics / addicts who have passed on this year. May their spirit live on as we continue to carry the message, One Day At A Time. Help us to remember that Our lives were shattered--because of alcohol / drugs Our wives and kids battered--because of alcohol/drugs Nothing we did ever mattered--because of alcohol/drugs Many have died of Aids,HIVpos. after being tested--because of alcohol/drugs We had lost our will to live--because of alcohol/drugs There was nothing left to give--because of alcohol/drugs On and on the cycle went It seemed there was no way out The fear and pain was overwhelming We lived behind a wall of doubt. We cried, we begged, we prayed "Dear God,please help us!" In 1935,God heard our prayer. He sent Bill W. and other alcoholics/addicts with the Big Book to share Our program has grown to an incredible size We now have a purpose, the gleam is back in our eyes. We've learned as long as the ties that bind us together are stronger than those that will tear us apart--all will be well. Alcoholics/Addicts no longer have to live in,or die,and go to Hell.Together we can knock down the walls of racism and hate. And through our unity and love, carry this message to every neighborhood, city, country and state. When the heart of one alcoholic/addict touches another, We are doing God's will and loving our brother. Our gratitude truly speaks When we care and share with each other the recovery way. Let's continue to hug, that's how we pray! This was inspiring to me,I thought I'd share.Hope you all like it!!! |

Im glad for AA because so many people seem to have reached peace through it. I wont knock it down, i'm no one to give advice really right now. Unfortunately drugs seem to really like us dont they. So there is support and thats so good and I it makes me so happy to see people finding a reason for life other than drugs. Everyone dies but even worse is seeing someone dying spiritually.
