As I look at a tree, what do I see?
I observe my God,
Looking back at me.
His arms reaching upward,
Beyond this cruel life.
Pointing to bright light,
That dispels all the strife.
He shows me that growing,
Is all that needs be.
That the good and the bad,
Is what makes us see.
One day at a time,
May I thank Him for life,
With all of it's joy,
Contentment and strife.
For without all that's bad,
We can't see the good.
As I gazed at this tree,
My heart understood.
