Happy Birthday SoberRecovery! - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

September 15, 2000. I uploaded the files, and there we were. About 25 pages. A couple of hundred resources. No message boards. Just a hope and a prayer. The goal then, like now, was simply to provide as many resources to as many people as possible. Hundreds, if not thousands of hours later and SoberRecovery has grown to over 145 pages encompassing more than 2700 recovery resources. With the help of our moderators there are over 19000 posts in the message boards. With the help of our sponsors and donors, an average of 1500 people visit SoberRecovery each and everyday.

Our front page says it all:

People do recover, every single day. From alcoholism, drug addiction, mental illness, abuse and trauma, dual diagnosis and more, people do get better. They rarely do it alone. If help is what you seek, we hope you'll find it here...
