Name the last half dozen Academy Award winners for best actor and actress.

Name the last decade’s worth of World Series winners.

How did you do?

The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday. These are no second-rate achievers. They are the best in their fields. But the applause dies. Awards tarnish. Achievements are forgotten. Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners.

On the first part of this quiz....I knew the last 10 Miss America Winners

They were...MG, Barbiedeb, JT, Josie, Smoke, Rose, Kitty, Justme, Beachbum, Chandra, Pauline, Tweetybird, CherylG...well I guess that is more than 10, but we are ALL winners here. Margot and I are Canadian...so we are the Miss Canada's.

And as for the World Series...1992 AND 1993...TORONTO BLUE JAYS...YEAHHH. 1994 - Toronto Blue Jays right out front again...but strike cancelled the season and there was no World Series. This was a SIGNIFICANT event in my life, so I remember.

I have a photo of me with Roberto Alamar AND the World Series Trophy. If I knew how, I would show you it.

You don't want to know how I got it...I'll just tell you it had something to do with me using a Spanish-English dictionary to talk to him and my sister-in-law's birthday. Even his body guards just stood there staring at me LOL. My sister-in-law and I together, are much like Laverne and Shirley, and we always get in trouble LOL.
