I think my movie would be Radio, because I have an autisic child who is truly a blessing in my life and he was instrumental in me getting into recovery!!!

I liked Life As A House too. I also liked 28 Days alot too, I've got it on DVD. Another movie that hasn't been mentioned on here that has an addiction theme to it that I really like is Riding In Cars With Boys. It's about this teenage girl who meets this buy at a party and she ends up pregnant. They get married. Things start going bad in their marriage. She finds out he is a heroin addict. They end up splitting up and she's forced to raise this little boy on her own. She then goes on to write a book about her experiences. |

| Best Movie I thought
Best movie I ever saw was Pay it Forward. My daughter went into treatment and then to AA and found an angel of a sponsor and she says she is just paying it forward. She has been my daughters absolute guiding light, when my daugher is scared or questioning her steps to recovery her sponsor is right there guiding her along. Thanks

| Another great movie
My husband and I went to see Pursuit of Happyness. What an inspirational movie. It just goes to show when you want something badly enough you can do it. Only thing I question is the main character in this movie was intelligent and determined. You can have the determination but if your are not intelligent it would of been hard to get to where he got to. That is my theory!

| Baraka
I first saw Baraka (translation "blessing") about ten years ago and it just blew my mind. I saw it again last night and was just as affected as the first time. This is probably the most incredible film I have ever seen - I can't even begin to describe it. I've posted a link below that gives a good overview. If you have trouble renting it, check your local library for a copy - that's where I found it again. http://www.spiritofbaraka.com/baraka.aspx
