You're welcome you guys

I hear you there Chris, the way I was raised with religion has had some impact on my life also...pretty much crammed down my throat, scared of it all. And if I dared to have an opinion on something oh boy, my mother, hahaha lordy that woman.

I'll share one thing about it....I once told her I didn't like going to confession, I didn't understand why other religions didn't have to do that, and why on earth did we have to have our sins relayed to the Big Guy through a priest?....well lordy that was a HUGE mistake on my part...I swear my mother grew two times in size with her rumbling yelling at me, and how dare I say such a thing....well jeepers....and guess what I don't go to church anymore hmmmm I wonder why? I did go back a few months ago after not setting foot there in 20 years to find my HP isn't there.

I hope you've found a way to deal with how you were raised with it. Makes you wonder why we have to be so afraid of God...a loving God. Oh well what do I know.

There was a story on the internet and I believe a new pastor did this in my area as well. Any way, the story goes how this guy dressed like a bum is sitting on the church steps and everyone goes around him and tries to ignore him as they pass.

I think, the usheres tried to give him a couple of bucks and to hit the road. Anyway, the preacher walks up to the front of the church and takes off they nasty trenchcoat and hat to reveal he wasn't a bum after all. With that he said what so ever you do to the least of my bretheren you do to me also.

I've sat in AA meetings and had business people and bikers in leather. We don't turn any one AA in AA. Now I wonder, what church is better the one where the people judge you or, AA where we accept everyone.
