To see a flower of beauty is such a special thing……. The petals wrapping around the stem, it can make you want to sing…… Fragrant smells of roses, carnations and the such……. You want to reach out to the petals, with just a small soft, touch…….. The colors of the rainbow, so bright and vibrant are they…… We take for granted the flowers, each and every single day……. So stop and smell the roses, carnations and the such…… Revel in the beauty and make that small, soft touch……. Remember that the flowers are a treat, they surely are a treasure…….. Barbiedeb This is a beautiful poem - and you are a beautiful poet!!!! You know I love my "recovery garden" and I do enjoy flowers so much. I have given armfuls of roses away, as they just keep blooming an blooming and are just too lovely to keep just for myself. I read in this poem that there are so many "flowers" in our lives, beautiful things that we take for granted or just don't notice because we are preoccupied with other thoughts and the beauty and joy are right in front of us, if we just take time to stop and smell the roses and observe the beauty. Thankyou for sharing this.
