A maple tree stnads tall, strong--bark gray tight and true all the branches and leaves in the wind. At the end of the season of summer Maple tree's leaves turn gold, yellow and red--preparing for being dormant in its winter rest...but before doing so sending forth its thousands of fertile seeds taht that energy went into making. As the winds of fall happen, the Maple tree's seeds are taken from its branches witht their little perpellars to possibly make a life of their own as the parent tree had done. In a shower of perpellars the seeds are sent forth. Some seeds are taken by birds, squirrals and any creature that sees fit the nutrients thats is within every seed that is in fact energy from the Maple tree. Some seeds will just not make it because either there was not enough energy given from the parent tree to survive, or the conditions for germination where not right. Thousands of seeds later, all the energy sent forth bu the Maple tree--one seed was chosen to survive, germinate under the proper conditons. This seed grows into the likenes of the parent plant and does as generations of Maple trees before it--and it was chosen out of those thoughsnad of seed that fell. At first one may have a twing of sadness to think what became of all those seeds accept for the chosen to survive. What would happen if all those seeds had geminated? What would have happened if some of those seeds had not been taken for nutrients by birds, squirrals and other creatures? There would be no room for any. The Maple tree's energy is not wasted--it put its energy forth to provide and reproduce. Everyone of us as individuals are as unique and special as that Maple tree seed that was chosen to survive and germinate--it is a gift, we are chosen to live and survive from forces most of us do not understand. Each and everyone of us puts energy forth providing and reproducing. If every womens egg and mans sperm where to become another there would be no room for any. This is the gift of the Mother we live on--she is over seer in the chosen and all energies set forth not be wasted--we all are part of which seems so large and share that which we live and balance achieved. To be chosen for life as we understand it is not to be taken lightly it is a fift that we make lives of our own providing and reproducing in order to keep generations going as the Maple tree. Differance between the Maple tree and us--generations of which can b measured possibly in a century for the Maple tree, for us a mear two decades--humans just age faster.
