Just wanted to light a candle and send out prayers and gratitude to our troops in Iraq and around the world. If anyone here has family and loved ones over there please know I pray every day for them. Watching the news lately I have been saddend to see what they are enduring. God bless them all, and I owe them the deepest gratitude and respect. Thank you troops....you all are amazing. Your sacrifices and your bravery are not unnoticed. We love you....lighting a candle for all who serve and give of their lives so that others may have a chance at life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Dear God~Please watch over the hostages over in Iraq and the troops also. I am so saddened by all I see on the news.Be with them all dear God...they need all available angels right now. Thanks for hearing our prayers.

~True Blue~I just had to express my concern and my prayers for them all. I cry when watching the news....I cannot help it. I figured posting some candles and some prayers could only be of help.I feel so helpless as to how to relieve all the suffering and loss. How is your son doing my friend?Well, I hope..God bless you all. My deepest respect goes out to all military families and their loved ones in active service. And our contracted workers over there..what is happening to them is awful beyond words and enrages me. Just have to keep praying.....and being supportive any way I can.
If you know of a good legit place/way to send a package to the troops please let me know. Would like to get my children to start a box of goodies for the soldiers.

I, too, pray for my American friends who fight for freedom for all.

And I also add a special prayer for their mothers, who wait and pray that their sons will return safely.

I will be sure to pray for them! I have a few friends in the service. I can only imagine what troops' moms and dads go through!

Today I had to take a break and not watch the news..just gets me too emotional and sad. And it hit me when praying for the troops and hostages over there...they can't step back and take a breather, take a day off and just get away...God bless their dedication and perseverance. Keep them safe Lord and bring peace to that troubled region.....

Tammi I will say some prayers for all the mothers in the armed forces. I will also pray for peace. Lets say a prayer for all the mothers who are at home jumping every time the phone rings, waking up in the middle of the night to check there e-mails to see if the recieved a e-mail from there son's or daughter's, Who watches the news with fear of seeing there loved one on the news, the moms who can't eat, cries on there pillow, can't sleep, thinks of nothing else but wanting to protect there child. Just putting myself in there place again. Prayers for all.

and thoughts for the families, especially the mum's who have to cope with the emotions and behaviour of their returned loved ones. They need our strength i think.
