Hiding On Haultain Dapper Danno Dan the man Asleep on the couch Again while he can Still instrumental with the nescessities A little tempermental with the rest you see We all try and be courteous Empathy passed with the pipe All exhausted smiles Filter out the smokey night It appears we must leave too soon Says the landlord In a greedy Pig-headed Gentlemanly fashion Rita is ready to bash him Call forward Forward crawl The toc of the clock on the wall Another month The homelessness calls But be so still tonight The last light Still burns bright A relaxing silence of comforting friends A radio that wanders from end to end Time rolls on as it can Hiding on Haultain Cleaning souls stains Riding night trains Till the inevitable eviction arrives in the morning |
