| Washroom Tile Over Carpet
When everythings been read And trying to sleep Just wakes the dead When everything seems so finished Tired Except my head When all my answers Find no questions I stand there Heat of long left lovers Dance there Wrong moves have been made Best laid plans Gave away I never stayed And today Karma came back to get paid My bathroom floor is covered with grey tile Sometimes I stare at it for hours Remembering stupid super powers Stolen from me as a child Imagination wild Nothing is as fun anymore Not since the booze The drugs The curse Kept all my worst things first Now the weather often grows old here I grow cold here Washroom tile over carpet Starts to smell after awhile I wonder if ghosts watch me pray On a day Like today |
