Beginning Today (Poem)

Beginning today,
you'll no longer need to worry about yesterday.
It is in the past and the past will never change.
Only you can change by choosing to do so.
Beginning today you will no longer worry about tomorrow.
Tomorrow will always be there, waiting for you to make the most of it.
But remember, you cannot make the most of tomorrow without first making
the most of today.
Beginning today, look in the mirror and see a person worthy of respect
and admiration.
Start seeing the capable person looking back at you. That person is
someone who needs your time and is worth getting to know better.
Beginning today, cherish each moment of your life. Value this gift
bestowed upon you in this world and be willing to unselfishly share
this gift with others.
This gift will enhance the lives of everyone you grace your presence
upon.
Beginning today, take a moment to step off the beaten path and to revel
in the mysteries of life you encounter, now and throughout today.
Live in the question.

Recognize your challenges and face them with the courage and
determination you harbor.
Overcome whatever barriers that may be hindering your desire and quest
for growth and self-improvement.
Beginning today take life one day at a time, one-step at a time. One-second at a time, if necessary.
Do not allow discouragement to taint your new positive
self-image, your desire to succeed, or your capacity to love.
Beginning today walk with renewed faith, marvel in human kindness.
Reach toward all of life's precious endeavors.
Regardless of what has gone on before, you must believe there is hope.
Hope for a brighter and better future.
Beginning today, allow yourself to open your mind and your heart.
Welcome your new experiences and meet new people. Give and then you shall receive.
Expect change. For change IS progress.
But, do not expect perfection from yourself nor anyone else: perfection
does not exist in this imperfect world.
Applaud your attempt to overcome human errors.
Beginning today you are responsible for your own happiness.
Be willing to do the things that promote this happiness. . .
Take time to admire the beautiful wonders of nature, listen to your
