| Great Quotes!
Thanks everyone for your great quotes. I love quotes, and my favorites change by the minute. Here are a few that I have recently enjoyed: Men never do evil so completely and cheerfully as when they do it from religious conviction. -- Blaise Pascal There are two kinds of failures: those who thought and never did, and those who did and never thought. -- Laurence Peter As the Yiddish expression says, If God lived on earth, people would break his window. -- Steven Pinker, The Language Instinct (p. 560) |

That is a beautiful quote Crystal......I love quotes, I sit an dread them alot. I used to big books of quotes, got left in Texas, plan on buying more to start my collection, I can find so many on the internet...but there's somethinga bout a book in my hands that makes it more enjoyable... Here's one I like: Hell would be if God were to show me things I could have accomplished if only I had believed in myself.~Unknown There are many wonderful things that will never be done if you do not do them. ~Charles D. Gill I am not going to die, I'm going home like a shooting star.~Sojourner Truth We are not here merely to make a living. We are here to enrich the world with a finer spirit of hope and achievement-and we impoverish ourselves if we forget the errand.~Woodrow Wilson

The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. Maybe it is true that we don't know what we have got until we lose it, but it is also true that we don't know what we have been missing until it arrives. Maybe God wanted us to meet the wrong people before meeting the right one so that when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift. No man or woman is worth your tears, and the one who is, won't make you cry. To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world. Don't cry because it is over, smile because it happened |

I love this thread, and there are so many sayings that I like, but I think my favourite is "What is impossible for man, is possible for God". Also, something my mother had on her kitchen wall..."You've got to have a dream before it can come true."

“The easiest thing in the world is to be you. The most difficult thing to be is what other people want you to be. Don’t let them put you in that position. Ten out of ten people die, so don't take life too seriously In just two days, tomorrow will be yesterday. When you spend your life worrying about how other people feel, you lose track of how you feel. --Unknown

The more we know the better we forgive. Whoever feels deeply, feels for all who live. Madame De Stael From what we get we can make a living, what we give, however, makes a life. Arthur Ashe Patience is a tree whose root is bitter, but its fruit is very sweet. Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a harder battle. Plato I haven't got through everyones post yet but I wanted to add some of my own favorites hope you guys like. |

I had to read this through several times before I got it. It has stayed with me since then. It is because change is always possible that hope is always appropriate. - Victoria Moran

Here are some of my favorites: "Yesterday is history- Tomorrow is a mystery- Today is a gift." "...that love, not time, heals all wounds." "Everything that is happening at this moment is a result of the choices you've made in the past." "Think of the past only long enough to learn from it." "I believe that friends are the angels who help us to our feet when our wings can't remember how to fly." |

Although maybe not quite as insperational as most of these I like what Dory says in Finding Nemo "What do you do when Life gets you down? Just keep swimming, Just keep swimming swimming, swimming, La La La!!" :sing:
