god please dont let them drink tonight
i dont want another drunken fight
i ask you so many times to let them wake
feeling like they need nothing to take.
you must be laughing at me shaking your head
because i drink too and wish i were dead!
but god please understand,
if it wasnt for the stress they have given me
i wouldnt be a drink drug addict, i am begging you lord
to help through, i do want a better life, i really do!
i promise ill never do a thing wrong,
if you take me outta this place were i dont belong!!

Troubled Girl, it sounds like you might be in a family situation that is bad for you. If this is true, you can find a way out. If you visit this board you can see that people can overcome a lot of obstacles and move ahead to a better life. If you are living at home with parents who are causing you pain in your life, do you have another family member who you could stay with for awhile - a grandparent or an aunt? Or if there a counsellor at your school who could give you some advice? The truth is that whether or not you can change your situation, you can change yourself. In fact, that is all you can change. Keep posting.

ditto to what Anna said....Check out the al-anon forums here, it's great suport for the loved ones of alcoholics. Sending hugs and prayers of comfort to ya....

Hi and welcome to Sober Recovery

God is not laughing at you...He really isn't.There is hope and there are people who care.You can make a better life for yourself.I hope you will call someone who can help you through this.Maybe the 12 step recovery groups could give you some strength for the road ahead.Call AA/Al Anon and they can direct you to meetings.There are even groups for teens.It makes a real difference when you talk with others who have been through these things.Believe me,you do not have to do this alone.

Make the call,and keep posting here.
