There is a season for all things...And this too shall pass. Caesar was advised to "beware the Ides of March", and for me, the Ides of November hold a special meaning. I was reborn and baptized on Nov 18th, 1989. I experienced spiritual death on Nov 15th, 1990. I got sober on Nov 14th, 2002. My Mom's birthday is Nov 12th. Happy B-Day, btw, Mom. Also, I was engaged to a beautiful young woman, with whom we planned to marry in November. She gave me the ring back in November.

Kinda weird how things work out, huh? During this time of year, I have an odd mixture of gratitude and sorrow. But I'm also very somber and reflective. I have serenity now that I never believed I would have.

I wasn't sure if I wanted to post this in the Grief Forum or here...I'm not really grieving like I used to. Do you think maybe I'm finally healing??

been a mod. Now..if you should...if there is a lot of "stuff" inside of you

that needs to come out? Do you really want my opinion?

It's strange though...It's almost as if I'm going through a 2nd puberty. (minus the voice cracking & stuff) I'm rediscovering myself in ways I probably shouldn't mention publicly.
