| The Day That Never Was
A Time For Remembrance... To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under the sun. A time to be born and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted; a time to kill and a time to heal ... a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance ... a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to lose and a time to seek; a time to rend and a time to sew; a time to keep silent and a time to speak; a time to love and a time to hate; a time for war and a time for peace. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 There is a season for all things...And this too shall pass. Caesar was advised to "beware the Ides of March", and for me, the Ides of November hold a special meaning. I was reborn and baptized on Nov 18th, 1989. I experienced spiritual death on Nov 15th, 1990. I got sober on Nov 14th, 2002. My Mom's birthday is Nov 12th. Happy B-Day, btw, Mom. Also, I was engaged to a beautiful young woman, with whom we planned to marry in November. She gave me the ring back in November. Kinda weird how things work out, huh? During this time of year, I have an odd mixture of gratitude and sorrow. But I'm also very somber and reflective. I have serenity now that I never believed I would have. |

Midas.. I think you know better than I if you (can) post on the G and L forum, having been a mod. Now..if you should...if there is a lot of "stuff" inside of you that needs to come out? Do you really want my opinion? Listen to your heart. Blessings

It's strange though...It's almost as if I'm going through a 2nd puberty. (minus the voice cracking & stuff) I'm rediscovering myself in ways I probably shouldn't mention publicly. Please don't fuss at me too much. It's in the Big Book on page 67-69. Read it here: How It Works - Chapter 5 |

I found a very nice card just for that "special day"... ![]() Oh, I just break my own heart at times like this. Happy Anniversary, Honey. *snicker* You should read the text I sent along with the card. :lol
