| My Son oh my son.
Preface: I wrote this poem when I was still married in the process of getting divorce. The cause was my drug addiction and since I was living in America on a family based visa my stay would be cut short very abruptly. So feeling the despair of divorce, drug abuse and deportation I wrote this poem and believe me my handle on the english language lacks big time. I wrote this sometime in December of 05. Now living in Canada far away. My son oh my son, I have caused you pain you not yet know, Your mother's love for you is beyond this world, Christ Jesus will guide you through a deathblow Her heart aches for you unfurled Your path is set in stone walk under the rainbow I cry at night knowing the pain I've caused Yet your mother wants me in your presence My path is now clear and I now pause Her love for you is great in all guidance My ears hear only love and applause Son your life is grand and safe Your mother and I ache in pain Fear not God is with you in all strafe We will live good and not in the mundane Your path is set by God... You are safe. |
