Have you ever felt a mothers love at first sight
A foreverlasting love in your heart, mind and soul
Has one of your children gone way off track in their life
And the love in your heart began cracking like ice
Into this world a new life did they bring
Who looked just like them, and made your heart sing
They continued on with the drugs, alcohol and poor choices
That negatively effected the lives of two that are now in your heart
The cracking in your heart, did increase two times the amount
Did a turning point come when you could no longer watch
Pain and neglect of one that you love
Inflicted by your daughter, your first true love

So did you go on and do what you must
In order to keep the little one safe
And were you falsely accused of lying that day
Resulting in the child being sent back to stay
Did you cease to sleep at night
wondering what she endured for telling
After enduring broken bones and internal bleeding
Their father, a rapist, was free to do as he pleased
I Watched these children that I love like my own
Being sent away with people we did not know
This is not a house, car or wallet
They are little human beings who deserve to have love

Have you ever wanted to scream until you dropped
At the shock of something so terribly unjust
I ask my God how can you give your child away
What kind of life would you live after that day

Pain never had such a meaning in my life
as it now does every day and every night
It is death without dying
And a heart broken into without healing
It seeps and bleeds like an open wound
Day in and day out, the pain is forever present

I wonder where you are, and how you are doing
Where you sleep, and are you smiling
I know you love me the same as I love you
And this nightmare has also broke your heart into
You will always live on in my broken heart
I have done all that I could for you in a fair, honest and loving way
