| IO Storm | The Perfect Toy
(A story I made up today ..I think it is about acceptance) The Perfect Toy I didn't paticularly like a toy I had opened...and the Toymaker noticed. He came to me and asked me about it. "What's the matter, child?" "Do you not like the toy you opened this morning?" I told Him I was disappointed in the toy..it was not quite what I thought it would be. I had chosen the toy..it was exactly what I had asked the Toymaker for, and He had graciously given it. He asked if I wanted to keep it for awhile or trade it for another of His choosing. "Oh, Yes!" I said, because now I knew the Toymaker would give a much better toy than I could ever choose..so He took my toy and placed it in His pocket of dreams. I closed my eyes tight and held out my hands, eager to receive my new, perfect toy, made just for me. But, when I opened my eyes..my hands were empty. The Toymaker told me something about waiting for the appointed time and patience and His perfect will.... Well...since I really wanted that ultimate perfect toy...I said O.K.! The Toymaker patted me on the head and sent me down the road and said He would lead me and guide me to the right toy at the just the right time..and then I could open it with joy! And then He said something very strange as He drifted into the shadows... "And child..don't complain about the color....'' __________________
