COMING TO TERMS

Coming to terms with a life that's very hard
Wondering-Why me God?
What can I possibly gain
From all this suffering and pain?
Don't you know, can't you see,
What this life is doing to me?

GOD REPLIES

I hear your prayers my special child
And I know of the pain you feel inside
Your aching heart is not cursed
Nor is it yet ready to burst
You must feel the pain and feel the sorrow
In order to help others towards a brighter tomorrow

You care so much that it hurts you inside
Your sensitive feelings are hard to hide
Things that others just let go by
Hurt you so much that they make you cry
And as the tears start to flow again
You wonder why you feel all this pain

After years of torment you feel you can't take any more
And wonder what it is all for
You ask Why do I suffer this way?
Help me father, please show me the way

My special child look deep into your heart
It's full of love and compassion that will help you to start
To bring comfort to those who are feeling the strain
For you know the full extent of their pain

Reach out to me and I'll show you the way
To bring love to others each and every day
You can heal their bodies and their minds
For I only give this power to a special kind.

The love in your heart that hurts you so much
Can help you reach others with your tender touch
And when you see their smile as I take away the pain
Then you will agree it was worth all the strain.
