The guitar will never rest by the bookshelf again Do you remember collectiong the queen's stones from Tan-Y-Bwlch beach? Or picking me up to collect the biggest conker hard to reach? Do you remember telling stories around Bonfire blaze? Or our walk up Plinlymon when we got lost in the haze? Do you remember summer swimming in Trawscoed when you jumped off the rocks? Or when for sea cadets I had to name every boat in the docks? Do you remember cooking baked beans every night for our tea? Or when I fell over and cried on your knee? I remember longing to see the precious items in the shed, And when I demanded you tucked me really tight into bed, I remember summers of Fairport and the always long traffic jam, And when we often went up to Cwm Rheidol Dam. These are my memories and I'll always keep them in my head, coz' all the precious items have gone from the shed, Sometimes were good and sometimes were bad, but i want you to know, I remember the good ones Dad, the guitar has gone, the records and books too, There's now nothing left to remind me of you. |
