Smile Symptoms of Inner Peace

Be on the lookout for symptoms of Inner Peace. The hearts of a great many have already been exposed to to inner peace and it is possible that people everywhere could come down with it in epidemic proportions. This could pose a serious threat to what had, up to now, been a fairly stable condition of conflict in the world.

Some signs and symptoms of inner peace.

A tendency to think and act spontaneously rather than on fears based on past experiences.

An unmistakable ability to enjoy each moment.

A loss of interest in judging other people.

A loss of interest in judging self.

A loss of interest in interpreting the actions of others.

A loss of interest in conflict.

The loss of ability to worry ( this is a very serious symptom)

Frequent attacks of smiling.

An increasing tendency to let thing happen rather than make them happen.

An increasing susceptibility to the love extended by others as well as the uncontrollable urge to extend it.

WARNING: If you have some or all of the above symptoms, please be advised that your condition of inner peace may be so far advanced as to be incurable. If you are exposed to anyone exhibiting any of these symptoms, remain exposed only at your own risk!

Just for Today

Lord, for tomorrow and it's needs,
I do not pray;
Keep me , my God, from any sin,
JUST FOR TODAY

A quiet mind.......

Thank you so much for posting these! My ultimate goal in sobriety is a quiet mind. And that increases when I go to more meetings.

Maybe that is whats going on with me.
I was kinda thinking my attitude lately was strange.
I like being alone.
I am so calm it almost scares me.
I feel like I have been on such an emotional rollercoaster that I am just happy to be quiet, and not think about nothing.
The "loss of interest" thing kinda puzzled me because I thought maybe I should be interested.
Thanks for this post!

I Choose Love

No occasion justifies hatred;
no injustice warrants bitterness. I choose love.
Today I will love God and what God loves.

I choose Joy

I will invite my god to be the God of circumstance.
I will refuse the temptation to be cynical...
the tool of the lazy thinker, I will refuse to see
people as anything less than human beings,
created by God. I will refuse to see any problem as
anything less than an opportunity to see God.

I Choose Peace

I will live forgiven. I will forgive so that I may live.

...to be continued

Thumbs up Freedom

Freedom, fully appreciated only when it has been lost.

One of the greatest struggles of mankind has been in the preservation of this gift.

Too many ideals, too much dogma, and too little understanding of the human spirit
get in the way of this most basic right.

The simple rule for Freedom's grace is so simple

Harm No One.

Freedom is an internal achievement rather than an internal adjustment.

Inner peace is so enjoyable but, difficult to hold on to. Threads like this help me to take a moment to rekindle the feeling. We need to make time each day for inner peace.

You can't separate peace from freedom because no one can be at peace unless they have their freedom.

If you want peace stop fighting.

If you want peace of mind stop fighting with your thoughts.

Whenever two people meet, there are really six people present.

There is each man as he see himself, each man as the other person sees him,

and each man as he really is.

At one time I had ALL the symptoms of inner peace Don, somewhere along the way life got busy, I stopped taking time out to just be.....and, I developed symptoms of another kind. Lately I just can't seem to sit quietly for long...don't know what thats about...

Perseverance is more prevailing than violence; and many things which cannot be overcome when they are together, yield themselves up when taken little by little. ~Plutarch

Sometimes when we are generous in small, barely detectable ways it can change someone else's life forever.

If you limit your choices only to what seems possible or reasonable, you disconnect yourself from what you truly want, and all that is left is a compromise.

Thanks Wolfchild..a timely reminder not to limit myself to what only seems possible or reasonable......I have the opportunity to go to uni next year and my mind keeps going over..am I smart enough, will I be able to cope with the work load, is it fair to the family, etc..etc.

Maybe just make a decision one way or the other......
