| Just some words that rhyme
Remembering the times when I was a child Running around, acting wild Feeling the wind blowing through my hair Sometimes I wish I could go back there Back before drugs, alchohol ,and raids Back before the sleepless days Back when you worried if you could afford that lolli pop! Back before your head turned everytime you saw a cop Back before the nightmares entered your sleep Back before bills were unpaid, stacked knee deep Back when your family loved, and laughed as one Back when you thought, our family cant be undone! But little did we know the paths our lives would take, That drugs and alchohol would seal our fate Some will reach out for help which feels like a risk Others will die, trying to find that fix. Families are broken, still some still remain But one thing ever present is the constant pain But let us remember what we can do That this isn't the end of the line for me and you! Reach out for once and say a prayer Heavenly father will always be there! Take the strenght that he offers and put it to use Put down the drugs the booze, make a decision for you! Take care of yourself , but most of all Remember what a gift you are to us all. Your stories they help us get thru the night Each 24 hours ,or even a minute at a time Remember what blessings come when you serve Answer someones question, or just tell them you heard! And remember each night when you thank you higher power Here you are again..... you made another 24 hours! __________________ |
