| Teacher
He was my teacher, and I never saw that he was right in front of my eyes He was my teacher and I didn't see That the lies he told were not lies The teacher appeared and I never knew that he was right there all the while, The teacher appeared, I just didn't know the wisdom behind his sweet smile. The teacher had told me again and again and I just could not understand that he came to me from a loving God Who wanted to lend me a hand. The teacher spoke of misery and grief and I soothed him the best that I could But what I was doing was soothing myself and this, it is now understood That the teacher was sent to awaken my soul to teach me my life means so much to all that I know and I love and I lost and to revel in life's golden touch. To the teacher, alas, it is to late to thank for now he is gone from my side, But I will always remember his wisdom and love and he will be always a God-given guide. Thank you my Teacher. |
