Issue

I’ve never posted here before.
I just wanted to express that I had an issue with Ambien recently. It was absolutely awful. I posted a bunch of nonsense here that I don’t remember.
I have had awful experiences with ambien (the 12.5 mg CR) in the past. Emailing weird things, sleep walking, eating tons of foods…and remembering none of it. Even the day afterwards I don’t remember much.
Right now I’m close to 100 days of sobriety from alcohol. I don’t feel much like celebrating because of this one night on Ambien. Oh. And the next day I didn’t look through my texts. I had a vague idea of what had happened but I dreamed that I got kind of attacked (verbally) by someone else. So I was still in defensive mode.

Thankfully I am no longer prescribed Ambien. I “borrowed” one from my husband.
I just wanted to express my feelings here and apologize for it. I’d rather be awake all night than deal with this awful medicine.
I have had a sleep study as someone suggested but it’s just garden variety primary insomnia. If any of you follow me in th Fitness section you’ll know that I work out a lot. And that heroes with my sleeplessness.

I am not craving ambien. It was just a foolish error on my behalf. Kind of like thinking “I can halve one glass of wine”.

(I did apologize to the person here that I target and to Dee, poor soul).

I didn’t know this section was here, so I’m glad to find it.
Thank you.

People have committed murder on Ambien Peke; it is a scary drug, for sure.
Honestly, I cannot understand how it is still on the market with so many people sleepwalking and becoming violent while taking this drug.

And I am really glad that you do not have it prescribed to you anymore. s

But you didn't take it to alter your reality; you took it to sleep, so your 100 days is something you should celebrate with pride, in my opinion. xx ❤️

You’ve no need to apologise to me Peke - but based on that 24 hours of yours, I won’t touch Ambien - ever.

Thank you, Dee. I appreciate it.
Thank you so much Venus. That means a lot to me.
Going to cycle tonight with the club. That always helps my sleep a great deal.
Have a good day.

I avoid anything that could possibly be mind-altering in any way, drink or drug. That includes Nyquil and other over-the-counter medications.

Your experience frightens me, it's something I never want to experience myself. Thank you for sharing this Peke, it's important for our members to hear and be cognizant about.
