No I don't need an excuse to drink but when I manage to stop drinking I can't sleep. Eventually I get so run down my thinking becomes even more warped then usual and.......I do what I do best.

I fully understand and I can't seem to sleep well since I've stopped drinking. When I do manage to fall asleep I'm up every 3 or 4 hours it seems. I've been down this road before and it defenately gets better with time. Last night I was asleep by 9:30pm but woke up at 1:00am and have been up since. Hows that for an early start for the day.

That's one of the things that motivated me to quit last month. For years I used alcohol to put me to sleep. About six weeks ago it got so bad that I would wake up in the middle of the night and need to guzzle a few beers to get back to sleep.

It seems to be gradually getting better for me as my time remaining sober gets longer.

Keep going!
