Question Full Moon=Insomnia

This may sound weird, but Does any one else find it harder to sleep when the moon is full?

I do.

The moon has been full the last few days and I have had a bad case of full on insomnia.

Thank Lizrox, I guess it's not that uncommon. I'm just waiting for the sleeping pills to kick in ....and the moon to get smaller....

Yes

Not only do I not sleep well during a full moon, I also am usually low on energy and get irritated at the smallest annoyances.

Cool

I have been low on energy, too. But in a pretty good mood. There IS something magical about the early morning, I would rather experience it after a full night's sleep, though. (sigh)

I've had trouble for the past three nights. The moon is almost last quarter now, and things should settle down soon.

Here's an awesome chart I use periodically;

I suffer from insomnia every single night, but it's about ten times worse when it's a full moon. I can always tell, even if I didn't know beforehand.

I'm glad you posted this, because I never thought about it. Now, I realize why I didn't sleep much this last week.

I do remember working in an ER and I could ALWAYS tell when it was a full moon without ever looking, by the crazy situations that brought people to the ER. And when I worked in neonatal, we were always prepared for a busier-than-normal night when it was a full moon because more babies were born.

I think I'll have to check this moon thing out

Hugs and prayers!

Amy

i never pay attention to the moon's cycle. I cant sleep randomly enough, no reason for me to associate it with anything. I believe the human mind will reinforce that association and make the problem even worse.
