| Death is only an old door Death is only an old door Set in a garden wall. On quiet hinges it gives at dusk, When the thrushes call. Along the lintel are green leaves, Beyond the light lies still; Very weary and willing feet Go over that sill. There is nothing to trouble any heart, Nothing to hurt at all. Death is only an old door In a garden wall. Nancy Byrd Turner

The Rose Beyond The Wall A rose once grew where all could see, sheltered beside a garden wall. And, as the days passed swiftly by, it spread its branches, straight and tall. One day, a beam of light shone through a crevice that had opened wide. The rose bent gently toward its warmth then passed beyond to the other side. Now, you who deeply feel its loss, be comforted, the rose blooms there. Its beauty even greater now, nurtured by God's own loving care. ~Author unknown |

In Memory of My Dad If you think that my Dad's just passed away... You're wrong! He's now with his Savior - and very strong! He has heard the Savior say, "Well done", In heaven where Jesus' light is sun. God's wiped away all tears from Dad's eyes And now my Dad never cries. Dad's happy...and runs and leaps and jumps. No more pain like he's had for months. He sees his Savior face to face... And Oh how my Dad loves his place. Dad's in Heaven now praising his Lord. In the Heavenly choir he can be heard. No death, nor sorrow, nor crying each day... No more pain...former things are passed away. With righteousness Dad is crowned... On the streets of gold he can be found. Dad's fought the good fight, he's finished the race, Kept his faith strong by God's perfect grace. Jolene P.
