Hey guys! Wanted to get on here and talk this out, because I"m having a difficult weekend. I lost my dad on July 1st 4 years ago to cancer. My mom died almost 14 years ago so I live with my stepmom. I'm dealing with quite a few things this weekend.... This is my first time sober to deal with the loss of my dad on his anniversary. Another thing that is going on is that my stepmom is moving out of the country in a few weeks and I'm going to become a live in nanny at my job. I've known for about a month and a half that my stepmom was moving... but it just kind of hit me this past week. We don't get along that well, actually we don't get along at all but I'm still having a pretty tough time with the fact that now the closest relative to me will be in San Francisco or up in Minneapolis. 4th of July is a really difficult weekend with me because my favorite past time with my dad is boating, and on 4th of July we would get on the boat and go watch the fireworks in the bay when I was younger on our sailboat... I still miss doing it. At least I have a plan for something this year, I"m going to a BBQ with some AA friends.

Hope your day was good with your AA friends. It was hotter than H-E-double hockey sticks here in FLorida and I think it went to 100 today! Bleh!
I pray you did well over the holiday weekend. Best wishes to you in your live-in nanny job, god bless you...It takes a strong person to care for kids like that. I admire it.

((((BBSC))))thank you for sharing your story I am so sorry for the losses of your parents that must be so very hard for you , so pleased you arranged to do something with your AA friends though it does help to have people round you on anniversarys hope you had a great time..............
Well done you for getting a job as a nanny wishing you lots of luck with that ......and I,m sure you'll keep in touch with your step mum you may get on better with a little space between you .............
