My Uncle is an angel now

On the evening of February 14th my Uncle Richie passed away due to a heart attack that was brought on by chemotherapy. My Uncle died on the night of his second wedding anniversay in his own home.

Like anyone in this unfortunate situation I am saddened with grief but I am brought to tears more often by my fathers pain and suffering as he experiences his loss. You see, I lost my uncle but my father lost his younger brother.

Along with one of his brothers my father broke the news of my uncles death to his 81 year old mother, my grandmother, the day after my Uncle's death. It was devestating.

Three years ago my father survived congestive heart faliure with quadruple bypass surgery. He cannot grasp that he is still alive at 61 years old and his brother is gone at age 51.

The loss is heavy. :nose

I too am sorry for your loss....I don't know you very well so I do not know how to personalize what I am saying more to you but, I know it is very difficult to grieve and to watch others grieve. It is a process and it takes what it takes to get through it. Take care....

(((Everyone)))

You do not know how much I appreciate your words of kindness, prayers and thoughts of understanding. This is such a difficult issue to deal with and words cannot describe how I feel from one day to the next. It's like a roller coaster ride of emotions. I'm trying to get back on my regular schedule so I can live what I know in my heart is true and right, "The living must go on learning, loving, working and playing."

My mother has been telling me that my father has not been eating well. I've called him several times but he does not wish to speak on the phone. I understand; I have not been excepting calls form my friends much either. My daughter suggested that we send my father (her grandpa) a care package of some sort. I thought it was a great idea and it would keep our minds busy.

Thanks again,

Solara
