Hi Everyone
I am ok. Been working alot. .helps to keep busy and distracted. Thanks for checking on me MG. .thanks Ann and Josie for keeping me in your prayers. My husband had to have a cardiac procedure last week. .having lots of chest pain. .so they put in three stents into one of his bypass graft (he had bypass surgery two times and the graft was blocked. .not good.) Anyhow he is doing better. .less pain. .but still smoking. .I am powerless. .
I still haven't heard about autopsy reports re: Mariam's cause of death. I did receive a couple boxes of her belongings from the hospital. .it was very sad. .she had some shabby clothes. .some make-up. .no personal papers. (they said she had been journaling????). .Her life possessions. .so so sad. . I just can't totally believe that she is gone. .I haven't been back to my f2f meeting. .perhaps I will go this week. .ANyhow I am taking it one day at a time. Ann have you had any word from your son??

It's good to hear from you Mo.

I know how sad her belonging must be. I've felt that about my son even though he is living. Lots of times all he has in what he carries in a small back pack.

We were young and didn't have a lot of money when my husband died and I remember feeling so sad that he had so little when he died.

I'll keep your husband in my prayers and hope for a speedy recovery.

Thanks for asking, Mo. I haven't heard from my son for several months, and last time I spoke to him he was in pretty bad shape, although we did have a good conversation. I'm concerned because he rarely goes this long without a call, and never misses Christmas or my birthday which is shortly after Christmas, but he's in a dark world, Mo, as you know, and I think he thinks that not communicating with me will keep me less worried. How mistaken he is. All I have left is my hope and many prayers, and good memories of the man he once was.

He too has few possessions, Mo, but he has a good heart and a kind nature, and if he had sobriety that would be the greatest possession of all.

I will add prayers for your husbands health, and I continue to pray for you too, Mo, that the good memories will keep your daughter with you forever and that the bad memories will fade in time. It's good to hear from you. I really miss you and think of you every day.

Thanks for thinking about me. I am doing ok. .Have been working alot and was able to have my two granddaughters overnight last Saturday. .that was so much fun.

My husband is doing fine after having the stents implanted. Great news too. .he has been off cigarettes for over two weeks. .that is an absolute miracle! I am thinking that our dear daughter Mariam may have some thing to do with that.

since she is now an angel .
I am still waiting the the autopsy report. .each day when the mail comes I am apprehensive. .and sometimes it just feels like I am waiting period. .it is weird.
I am praying daily for you and your son and all the Soberrecovery family. .

How are your granddaughter's doing?
I hope your husband can kick those darn cigarettes.
I quit over a year ago and I smoked two packs a day
for 33 years. Tell him I said to hang in there!
I hope the autopsy report comes soon, I would need
