Will I ever get to the point where I do not think about my mom everyday?

I think about her everyday and dream of her at least 3x a week. Will I get over this

How long has she been gone? Yes, the hurt will get better, but you may think about her often...it just won't hurt as bad. My father has been dead over 30 years and I still think of him and even occasionally dream about him. I think it's natural since we never knew life without our parents. Give yourself some time. It will get easier.

I know you will. it's impossible to believe it right now and you almost think that if you don't think about the person every day all day and nite that somehow you are not being true to their memory. I lost my best friend/husband and life partner last june, he meant everything to me. I now think about it less, every day still but I don't have to cry all the time or even have it be a sad memory anymore, the happy ones are the ones that count and that you'll want to think and dream about for all times.
