| Gigi, BootLiquor, whatever.... | For Pat
I don't know if this is the right place for this but...A dear family friend, more aunt to me than my biological one, somebody who was incredibly compassionate and kind to me when I was at my lowest, has just been diagnosed with multiple malignant brain tumors, one is the size of a lime. They're going to operate on wednesday to...I guess...remove what they can (I thought malignant meant inoperable?) and then they'll start chemo. It just seems so hopeless, the symtoms only manifested themselves on Wednesday last week. And her poor husband lost his mother just last year, it seems so unfair! My mother and her other friends...they've known each other for over forty years...are beside themselves. Pat was the last person you'd expect this to happen to. She's a complete health nut who never smoked or did drugs and exercised regularly at the Y.

Sending prayers out, GG, for Pat and all who love her. Malignant means it is active cancer and hopefully they would not do this surgery unless they had hope to remove it entirely and that she can be treated. Cancer is scary but they are so much better at treatment today, so I will keep her in my prayers each day...and you too. Hugs
