Eunice Kennedy Shriver, founder of the Special Olympics; champion for the rights of the mentally disabled; recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom; social worker at a W Va prison; and sister of President John F. Kennedy has passed away at the age of 88. She is considered the "moral force" behind JFK's Peace Corps, Bobby Kennedy's passion for civil rights; and Teddy Kennedy's concern for health care reform.
