the time when you can go to the cemetary will be a great healing also. you haven't come to terms with it yet fully. you will probably feel sad at first but you will feel better after. it gets easier.

I did not go to my dad's grave for 26 years. My son wanted to go a see it so I took him. It was good it bought back many memories. I am constantly amazed at how much courage my son has given me.

Would it help if you went with a good friend or other family member? Is there a particular reason why you havent' gone yet? Could you write a letter to your dad and brother about how you feel? Maybe write them a letter and leave it at the cemetery. I'm sorry you're feeling badly but I understand how you could feel that way.

I pay my friends a visit when the seasons change. I bring my flowers, give my respects, then GET OUT OF THERE. I'm at the age where I can't go to the cemetary without stumbling over someone's tombstone that I knew. It's going on 12 years for my bro, 6 for my sis, & it's like talking to a rock at this point in time. Talk about drinking triggers! WS, when your'e ready to go back ,YOU'LL KNOW.
