I'm an alcoholic, currently in recovery....

I lost my son a few years back. He was only 4 1/2 months old and seemed perfectly healthy. I never drank during my pregnancy, and on all accounts he seemed so healthy... so beautiful.

I don't want to get into more details until I know I'm in a safe place where there are others like me out there. Please advise.

Hi Nicki,

Congratulations on being in recovery, and yes, you are in the right place. No matter how we lose our children or at what age, we are bonded together in the most horrible grief a parent can know.

I lost my son to a heroin overdose on Sep 4, 2008. I'm sure there will be others who can relate to your loss better than I, however, any loss of a child brings us together with understanding and love.
